I’ve entered my listing in my MLS but do not see it in SoftScreen. Why?

All listings fall under the domain of the broker. Brokers must elect to use our automated MLS service.

If your broker has elected to participate in our MLS automation service:

  • Your ACTIVE rental listing will populate in SoftScreen® automatically within one hour’s time.

  • We will email you as soon as this occurs.

  • The first time this occurs, you should log in to access your listing and account information and verify everything is correct.

  • You can set your standard criteria for all applicants (fair housing)

  • You can choose to add the landlord to direct distribution.

  • Your SoftScreen® login is the same email address you use to log in to your MLS.

  • If your SoftScreen® and MLS email addresses are the same and your account is active, you will always find your listings in your account.

  • If you have an existing SoftScreen® account with an email login that is different than your MLS login, please transition to your new MLS-linked account. This will make things much easier for you. Listings will automatically populate in SoftScreen® and will also automatically delete when the status changes to “closed.”

Exceptions:

If you choose to withhold your listings from IDX or other third-party websites (like Realtor.com, Zillow, Trulia, Redfin, etc) when entering your listing in MLS, you will also prevent them from populating in SoftScreen®.

If your broker has NOT elected to participate in our MLS automation service:

  • This is easily remedied. Ask your broker to sign on! Our service is secure, fast, and depending upon the MLS, cost free!

  • Without automation, listing agents can enter the address of their rental listing and enjoy all the benefits of using SoftScreen®.
